Meet Catherine

Feeling connected -- to myself, to others, and to what I do -- is important to me.

For much of my life I struggled with connection. I had close friends and family but struggled with relationships and truly feeling known. I had a successful career in consulting and corporate work, yet I was depleted. Life felt heavy and full of effort.

I turned my focus inward to uncover what I truly wanted and what was holding me back. I dug deep -- working through experiences and relationships that influenced my perceptions of me. Psychotherapy was an instrumental part of my process. I reconnected with my heart, my joy, my true nature. Life became lighter and the tough stuff more manageable. I pursued new adventures and developed more fulfilling relationships. Inspired through all of the change and growth, I finally had the courage to shift careers to become a holistic Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, pursuing an inner calling I have had for as long as I can remember.

My Master's degree is in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, the first East-West transpersonal (i.e. spiritual) psychology program in the United States. My work is holistic, taking into account heart, body, mind and true nature. Guiding clients to look within, be with their truth and uncover more of their innate value.

I now love the path I am on. Through the combination of psychotherapy and mindfulness, my spiritual beliefs about the connectedness of people and experiences, my focus on physical health and wellness, and my ever-growing trust in intuition, I have become much more personally empowered. I live more consciously and am inspired to help others do the same.
