About me
Hello, I’m Catherine…
For much of my life I struggled with connection. I had close friends and family, but struggled to truly feel known. I had a successful career in consulting and corporate work, yet I was depleted. Life felt heavy and full of effort.
I turned my focus inward to uncover what I truly wanted and what was holding me back. I dug deep — working through the experiences and relationships that had shaped how I saw myself. Psychotherapy was an instrumental part of that process. I reconnected with my heart, my joy, and my true nature. Life became lighter and the tough stuff more manageable. I pursued new adventures and developed more fulfilling relationships. Inspired by all of that change and growth, I finally had the courage to shift careers — pursuing an inner calling I'd had for as long as I can remember — and became a holistic Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
The Path That Brought Me Here
That journey didn't end when I changed careers — it's ongoing. Psychotherapy, mindfulness, a deep trust in intuition, my spiritual sense of how people and experiences are connected, and a commitment to my own physical health and wellness — these aren't just things I recommend to clients. They're how I live. That lived experience is what I bring into the room with you.
Your Compassionate Guide
Whatever brought you here — anxiety, relationship struggles, a sense that something needs to shift — we start where you are. My approach is curious and compassionate, and sometimes that means slowing down enough to really tune in — to notice, feel, and understand more deeply — because that quality of attention fosters real change. Together we'll turn toward what's underneath, tapping into your own inner knowing and finding greater alignment with who you are — because the answers you're looking for are closer than you think. The work is mine to guide and yours to lead.
What Shapes My Work
My approach is deeply personal — shaped by my own journey in therapy, my work with an energy coach, and my training at the California Institute of Integral Studies — home to the first East-West transpersonal psychology program in the United States. To that foundation I've added years of ongoing education in a range of modalities. These include somatic and body-focused work, Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Less a prescribed method, more a responsive conversation.
I also bring the wisdom of lived experience — as a friend, partner, wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and colleague. I understand the complexities of relationships, personal growth, and life transitions from the inside, not just the therapy room.
Let's Find Meaning Through Connection
If any of this resonates — whether you're navigating anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, grief, depression, or a longing for deeper connection — I'd love to work with you. From the very first session you'll notice an approach that's curious, warm, and attuned to you. We'll explore what's happening in your body, your heart, and your mind, tapping into your own inner knowing to help you find more clarity, more spaciousness, and a deeper connection with who you are.
